Accutane and alcohol and marijuana?

i will be going to a cottage for the next few days and i know they do not allow drinking alcohol on acctuane, but what about smoking marijuana? Is there any direct effects of smoking while on this medication?

Over use it is an overdose.

While alcohol can cause problems while on accutane, marijuana hasn’t been proven to have any adverse effects on the body(besides the ones it already has) in direct relation to the acne treatment. I have personally used accutane and smoked marijuana in my teenage years and I had no problems. I have friends who have also done this with no problems at all. So you’ll be fine.

The reason you’re not supposed to drink while on Accutane is because the Accutane can effect your liver, that is why you have to get the blood tests, to make sure your liver is still OK. Since alcohol also effects your liver, combining them can cause serious liver damage.
Since marijuana is not processed by the liver, it’s OK.
